Level 6 is the first and only week long retreat in the training.  Along with new Level 6 students, students above Level 6, referred to as 'uppper levels', are required to attend this retreat every year if they want to teach or continue to teach.  In the early days no one would think of missing this retreat, the pressure to attend was too great.   The Level 6 students are 

sequestered from the outside world in a secret hotel environment, forbidden to leave the grounds and discouraged from outside contact with anyone save an emergency call.  They are sleep deprived with a rigorous  early morning til late night schedule in which they must turn in daily reports and do their meditative work.  During the week they will learn how they were brought to this point by upper levels, learn healings, and participate with upper levels for the first time as peers.  They will be taken into a very strange, mind altering world, meet angels, cry and laugh a lot, and generally be taken out of the world as they know it.  They are so taken out of their reality in fact, that they are re-introduced to 'out there', the outside world,  with a shopping trip at the end of the week.  Students are buddied with several upper levels, who watch them closely.  Most are shaky, unsure if they want to go back into the world, and have been basically reduced to children on an outing. 

 

The highlight of the trip is in class after the outing, where everyone tells stories of the strange things that happened on the outing, the more bizarre the more laughs, the more cammaradarie built.  .
